Book Review: Make Time: How to focus on what matters every day by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky

https://maketime.blog/

From the authors of that famous book "Sprint: How to solve big problems and test new ideas in just five days", comes a new book, "Make time: How to focus on what matters every day" from which I am sure you will gain some simple practices that will help your life be more fulfilling and productive. Jake and John are self professed time dorks. However, unlike other self help books, their book is not about being more productive or how to do more in less time or how to effectively manage your to do list. The book is more about how to effectively utilize your existing time for daily activities. Jake and John suggest four steps for making time. The book revolves around these four concepts: highlight, laser, energize and reflect. They give excellent tips on how to avoid infinity pools. They have also gone to great lengths on being the boss of their phone. Even though they were part of the gmail and youtube teams respectively at Google, its heartening to read their tips on how to avoid these and other time sinks. The ideas in this book profess you to lead a slow but focussed and productive life at work and at home. This one is an easy and productive read!
